Asbestos waste must be sealed airtight and clearly labelled before it leaves your job for disposal. This asbestos tape does both in a single step. The strong PVC tape securely seals asbestos bags and polythene sheeting. How to package asbestos with tape, polythene and bags
1. Dampen the material with a hand sprayer to keep dust to a minimum.
2. Wrap it in polythene sheeting or place it in an asbestos bag. Wrap sheets completely in polythene; smaller pieces go into a bag.
3. Seal with a goose-neck. Twist the neck of the bag tightly, fold it over and tape it all the way round with the asbestos tape.
4. Double-bag. Place the package in a second bag or layer of polythene and seal it the same way.
5. Label. Run a strip of tape over the seams and around the package so the warning is visible from every side.

Why this tape rather than ordinary tape?
Standard packing tape lifts off dusty or cold polythene and says nothing about the contents. Asbestos waste marked only with a marker pen risks being turned away at the waste site.
